Vocabulary

In our workshop we learnt about vocabulary. We got to choose how we got better with our vocabulary    and what we did to get better. This is how I did it. First I stuck all of the words into my book. Then I grabbed 6 colour pencils. What I did next was I sounded out the words and then I did salables to improve my vocabulary. Then I colored in the words what ever colour the salables were. Then I posted it on my blog

I think that I answered the questions honestly.

What are you most proud of at swimming sports and why?I was proud of coming first in the final for backstroke.

What challenged you the most and Why?Betting Bella Ives because she is so fast.

How did you show kotahitanga?By giving people high fives.

Next time, what is a goal you can work towards?coming first in breath stroke.

I watched a video about a 1st grade boy that was asked to make a scientific butterfly. He made a first draft and his friends complimented him and tolled him what he could get better at. Then he made more and more drafts until he saw how well he got at it. Then he could tell how much he had improved. At the end he ended up with6 drafts. Reflection

Today we did a reflection on our learning it was called 2 stars and 1 wish.

New Flag

Today I read the new flag. I disagree with what the government had to say about getting a new flag for our country. I like our flag just the way it is. If the government wants can he ask the Australians to change there flag?

Bookapedia reading goal term 1

My goal for this term is to compare and contrast a variety of different texts. It's important to me as a learner because it will help me learn,I can get better at reading and it will help me get better at maths too. I will reach my goal by reading hard words then understand what the word means.

I will achieve this by reading more books and books and looking at the words closely.
