In our workshop we learnt about vocabulary. We got to choose how we got better with our vocabulary and what we did to get better. This is how I did it. First I stuck all of the words into my book. Then I grabbed 6 colour pencils. What I did next was I sounded out the words and then I did salables to improve my vocabulary. Then I colored in the words what ever colour the salables were. Then I posted it on my blog

WALT Edit
WALT:to edit
I watched a video about a 1st grade boy that was asked to make a scientific butterfly. He made a first draft and his friends complimented him and tolled him what he could get better at. Then he made more and more drafts until he saw how well he got at it. Then he could tell how much he had improved. At the end he ended up with6 drafts. You might want to watch the video here is the link.

Bookapedia reading goal term 1
My goal for this term is to compare and contrast a variety of different texts. It's important to me as a learner because it will help me learn,I can get better at reading and it will help me get better at maths too. I will reach my goal by reading hard words then understand what the word means.
I will achieve this by reading more books and books and looking at the words closely.
